Personal interests
In no particular order, here are some other aspects of my life which I am proud to share.
-
I spent most of my life with a dominant right-hand. Since around 2018, I started teaching myself to write with my left-hand.
-
While I was in Cambridge for Part III from 2017-2018 I wrote an essay on 'Nonstandard Analysis' supervised by Dr. Thomas Forster.
Books I have enjoyed
2024
-
Much too late in my life (Spring 2024), I read Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery. It is a fun story about a confident young girl whom we all wish we were or had as a friend during school.
2022
-
In Fall 2022, I read Half a Soul by Olivia Atwater. It is another young adult fantasy novel. This book is a blend of Bridgerton and Jonathan Strange & Mr Norell - peak British with a magical setting.
~ 2018 - 2019
-
One of my favourite books of all time is Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. It is a young adult fantasy novel. I am drawn to fantasy novels because it is a great medium for heist, romance, and found family plots.
-
Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman falls outside of my usual penchant for fantasy which, I suppose, only amplifies my praise for it. This is a heartaching and heartwarming story driven by the protagonist's compelling character development.
